ELECTION FRAUD IN CONNECTICUT: A PRIMER

Connecticut is called The Land of Steady Habits.  That includes election fraud.  Who knows where it began, but rumors of fraud have been around for a very long time in Connecticut electoral politics.  People took it as a given that Bridgeport was a center of this corruption.  Others point to Hartford.

The big problem has been how fraudsters exploit the gaps and seams of the election process.  Late ballots, “found” ballots, abuse of absentee ballots (now called “early voting” ballots.  Those are just the most superficial aspects of an incredibly complex system of fraud in Connecticut.

Voter ID is in a gray zone in Connecticut.  There was one case of a person who got to vote by using a Stop and Shop  card as ID.  Fortunately, most people use their driver’s license as ID when they go to vote.

Illegal aliens are able to get driver’s licenses as well and there is a open question about how many illegals actually vote.  This is another area crying out for investigation, but  the Democrat controlled government has shown no interest.

The voter rolls are still a mess in Connecticut.  They form the foundation of fraud.  Dead   people remain after much controversy.  There is also poor  follow up on inactive voters.  The problem is made worse by a system that does a lousy job of certifying registrars.

Fraud is also sustained by outsourcing responsibiTlity for clearning up voter rolls.  Connecticut, and other Democrat controlled states  rely on a system called ERIC.  It stands for Electronic Registration Information Center.  In theory, they pull data from multiple sources in order to verify the integrity of voter rolls.  The reality says otherwise.  We will be covering this too.

Numerous cases of election fraud have come to light at various times.  Bridgeport and Stamford have been the biggest offenders.  But  there are others.  For now, I am just mentioning these.  The follow up articles will go into much more detail.
