IS PRESIDENT TRUMP LOSING HIS WAY?

The smiling missteps President Trump has made over the last couple weeks signal unpleasant and disturbing changes for America if he fails to see his mistakes.  If he doesn’t snap to, then he needs to get ready for another round of impeachment in January 2027.

The blithe indifference of the Republican National Committee (RNC) spells doom for America.  This failure was exposed by Mark Mitchell of Rasmussen Reports while being debriefed by Alex Jones.  He provided an analysis which could only be obtained by objective data collection throughout the nation.

His analysis showed that the dissatisfactions among the nation’s youth will make or break our future.  That was Mitchell’s message, and it was clear that not the RNC, not Trump, nor any of his leadership team has seen clearly the dangers of this problem.

Their dissatisfaction strikes at the heart of Trump’s agenda, such as it is. Housing affordability, the fraudulent H1b visa program, and the failings of corporate America to take seriously their responsibility for providing job to our youth are just the first parts  of this dangerous story.

Mitchell’s message is clear.  If the Republicans fail to address these, and other, issues, they will get wiped out in the midterms.  There is some comfort in knowing that Mark Mitchell was invited to the White House and met with President Trump as well as other leadership.

Improvements Nonetheless – We do have to remind ourselves of the important accomplishments to date by President Trump.  The border is closed.  ICE is deporting illegals.  The passage of the “Big Beautiful Bill” was important despite its significant flaws.  That he has stopped some 8 conflicts around the world is huge.  More recently, designating the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist organization is an important step.  But it needs to be passed into law by Congress.  This designation has still not resulted in the elimination of these organizations.  Why allow a terrorist organization wreaking havoc in America to continue to exist?

Going Kinetic in Venezuela  - The signs point to a targeted invasion. Venezuela must be dealt with, however, it is just not obvious this is the best way.  There is a theory, odd as it seems, that the real motivation is to capture everything in that country having to do with the election fraud they committed because what was done there was done in America.

Despite these accomplishments, the people of America are still presented with an awful set of threats to our future.  These are briefly mentioned below.

Tina Peters and Election Integrity -  Let’s start with the obvious.  President Trump is dragging his feet over the defining issue of our time:  Election fraud.  Tina Peters is a witness.  She was there in 2020 when state authorities told her to destroy ballots required to be preserved by law.  She was following the law.  They were violating the law.  Yet she ended up in jail on false charges.

So, here she is in state prison in Colorado.  Yet she is the witness to a federal crime committed by Colorado state officials.  What is she still doing in a state prison when she is effectively a federal whistleblower?  It is obstruction of justice, but hasn’t been recognized as such yet.  Better than that, it is CONSPIRACY to commit obstruction of justice.

There are many larger issues involving election fraud in America.  But Tina Peters is the most obvious and important symbol. That President Trump has so far not done anything for her other than courtroom maneuverings sends a bad message.

H1b – The federal mismanagement of the H1b visa program is an ongoing scandal.  President Trump imposing a $100,000 fee helps, but it is only nibbling at the edges of this toxic problem for America.  Jessica Vaughn is the director of policy studies at the Center for Immigration Studies.  She continues to produce research showing the depth of fraud that is the rotten H1b visa system.  President Trump remains clueless about how awful this is.  Instead he is still buying the lies from the companies that benefit the most from this fraud.  When will he wake up?

Housing Affordability – Two forces are addressing this problem. The macroeconomic forces of interest rates and Fed policy are one group.  The other is the marketplace.  Mortgage rates have slowly declined over the last year, but that is not nearly enough. Self-deportation by illegals has reduced housing demand a little bit.  Mark Mitchell keeps saying that the only real solution is to allow the real estate market to implode.  Only then will housing prices come down in a meaningful way. He may be right.  President Trump maintains he is doing what he can.  But when it comes to instruments like Fannie Mae  and Freddie Mac, he only has a bad hand to use.  The argument remains.  Failure to get notable results by next November with housing affordability will be politically costly.

AI Rules – The companies invested in expanding and deploying AI are pushing to be protected from liability.  They were rejected once, now they are trying again.  AI lobbyists continue to push for Congress to protect AI companies from being sued for any damages they might cause.  The leader in this fight is Brendan Steinhauser.  He has a website: https://secureainow.org/.  President Trump hasn’t said much about this, but he will have to eventually appreciate how dangerous such a proposal is and reject it forcefully.

Ukraine Imbroglio- To continue favoring, rather than punishing, truly punishing, the one who pulled the trigger is disturbing to see.  There is certainly one enduring truth about this hot mess that is Ukraine:  It is a land of contradictions.  Ukraine and Russia are deeply connected, yet they fight each other.  Europe continues to buy Russian oil, in spite of the sanctions.  Trump keeps threatening to cut off aid and support, yet it remains.  For now, we will just let these contradictions stand.

Covering up for Huckabee – Trump has apparently given a pass to Huckabee for meeting with a convicted traitor to America, Israeli spy Jonathan Pollard, while telling no one about it.  The meeting was in August, and only now was this meeting with Pollard admitted to.  Whose side is President Trump on?  The problem with this is that while he is favoring Russia in the imbroglio, he is favoring Russia here by dismissing complaints about someone who indirectly gave top secret information to Russia.  It’s a bad look.

Trashing Marjorie Taylor Green(MTG) – MTG is the voice and face  for MAGA.  Attack her and you are attacking MAGA.  That is exactly what President Trump has been doing.  He has become increasingly insulting towards his MAGA base as well.  To suggest he knows better by claiming H1b is good, that having more Chinese communist students is good and we don’t understand becomes the center of our concerns that President Trump has lost his way.

600,000 Communist Chinese Students – President Trump’s comments about this subject amount to a Faustian bargain. He is willing to allow destructive evil into this country in order to allow certain colleges to stay in business.  Is this an echo of what went wrong with Trump University?  A true cost benefit analysis would include the true cost of infiltration by a county that both regards us as their enemy, and as a place from which to drain resources just like they are a blood sucking parasite.  Moreover, there is no demonstrated benefit to this country other than keeping those colleges in business.  These students keep to themselves. They don’t make any American friends.  They are monitored by the Communist Chinese party.  They just steal, cheat, and leave.

Mark Mitchell’s Key Point -  In a follow up interview, Mark Mitchell said he got the impression that President Trump does not govern by using a plan.  It could be argued that his enemies make sure of that.  Instead, Mark Mitchell suggests he needs to stick to a plan, however loosely.  It might  also be said that President Trump started out with proactive governing such as DOGE.  That has worked reasonably well.  But the amount and types of pushback have been enough to force him into a reactive mode.

What we find disturbing is that he appears to have been pushed so hard, so much, he is now mouthing the words of his enemies:  Russia, Silicon Valley, the unions, and others.  It took him some time to realize that Putin was jerking him around, and he still has not responded appropriately to that humiliation

The MAGA movement is about the great middle of this country:  The middle class.  As a populist movement, jobs and affordability are what it is all about to these voters.  When they understand President Trump is starting to abandon them, they will abandon him and the feckless Republican party along with it.  Even if President Trump has an epiphany about these parts of domestic policy, he can still pull the right strings in the wrong direction.

That is why we need to keep speaking up, and pushing for the right direction to the future.
