OP-ED: NED LAMONT’S SHITTIFICATION OF CONNECTICUT BEGINS

It is just the beginning folks.  Just the beginning.  Putative candidate for re-election Governor Ned “the turd” Lamont just signed into law Public Act 25-1, also known as the Affordable Housing Scam.  It is a bill so filled with wrong-headed, destructive, , probably illegal and unconstitutional provisions that lawyers are going to be busy for a very long time.  However, if none of these end up in federal court, we will be stuck with adjudication by a rogue’s gallery of the nation’s worst judges; a bunch of loopy liberal wannabe lawyers incapable of vigorous debate who sit on the state’s highest bench (If you think I am being biased, just look at the hash they made out of the effort to arrest Wanda, the election fraud lady).

That means the only option is a political solution.  2026 is an election year for the state legislature.  The people who want the Affordable Housing Scam repealed will have to mobilize politically to a degree never seen before in Connecticut.  The grassroots efforts required will have to reach deeply into the voter base into all the towns and homes.  This op-ed is not a call to action, it is a call to war.

The threat to homeowners and towns only becomes clear when you sort through the convoluted and sickening language in the act.----

-          Vagrancy support

-          As of right construction violating local control

-          Local character decisions no longer apply

-          Parking chaos

-          Massive increase in state bureaucracy over construction decisions

-          Massive increase in corruption to follow

The job of those fighting this atrocity is to build a strong bridge between informing the public and the actions, plural, everyone must take to get rid of this act.  Petitions, rallies, constant bombardment in social media.  Ultimately, each and every legislator must be held accountable for the vote they made for this terrible act.  There must be no rest until they are voted out of office.  It is a tall order in a state where democrats tend to win 60-40 in many races.  Plus, in a typical state race, there are usually 20 some democrat seats (out of 151) that go unchallenged.  That has to change.

Democrats have to wake up and stop voting for people who want to destroy their neighborhoods.  A loud call needs to go out to the #WalkAway Movement.  In fact, the level of pressure that will need to be put on the Democrat base in Connecticut will be unprecedented in the state’s political history.  Trump Derangement Syndrome continues to do more for Democrat get out the vote efforts than any army of organizers.

Our work is cut out for us.  There is only so much time, and as Steve Bannon would say “We are burning daylight.”  Time to get to work.
