POLICE HASSLE MOTHERS IN GREENWICH, CONNECTICUT

Sunday, November 14, 2021 there was a demonstration against having children in the public schools masked up. A small but determined band of mothers stood in front of the Greenwich Board of Education on Greenwich Avenue to express their concerns with masking children. Organized by Ms. Caitlin Hays, a lawyer and mother, the group was quickly set upon by the Greenwich Police. Someone had called into complain. But there was nothing to complain about. Ms. Hays understood the rules about not blocking free passage on the sidewalks. So, she and the police had their conversation and that was that.

The public response was a mixed bag. Some supported the effort and gave a thumbs up. Others ridiculed them, including a couple teen agers who insisted on riding their bikes through the crowd. This controversy continues. There have been several public hearings before the Greenwich Board of Education (GBOE), and there will be another one on Wednesday, November 17th.

It should be noted that there is the accusation that the GBOE expects to receive approximately $10 million in federal funding through something called ESSER III if they mask up the children and pressure them to get the “vaccine”. There continues to be pressure about this. But how it gets resolved remains unclear.
